Comprender tu Panel de Control

Understanding how to navigate and customize your dashboard helps you stay on top of opportunities, prioritize actions, and close more deals efficiently.

Your SalesSheet dashboard overview

Antes de Comenzar

  • You've created your SalesSheet.ai account and logged in
  • Ideally, you've added at least a few contacts or deals to see data populate
  • 3 minutes to explore the interface and widgets
Paso 1

Overview of Dashboard Layout

Dashboard layout - sidebar navigation, AI chat panel, and main content area with widgets

When you first log into SalesSheet.ai, the dashboard is what you see. Let's break down the main areas:

Left Sidebar Navigation: This is your main menu for accessing different areas of the CRM:

  • Dashboard: Your current view - the home screen with overview widgets
  • Contacts: Database of all people you interact with
  • Companies: Organization records linked to your contacts
  • Opportunities: Your sales pipeline and deals in progress
  • Activities: Calendar, tasks, calls, and emails
  • Reports: Analytics, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Settings: Account configuration, integrations, and preferences

You can collapse the sidebar by clicking the menu icon to get more screen space for your main content area.

Top Navigation Bar: Contains your profile menu, notifications bell, quick search, and quick action buttons. The search bar accepts natural language queries like "deals closing this week" or "contacts at Acme Corp."

AI Chat Panel: The center-right area features the conversational AI interface. This is always accessible and lets you execute commands, ask questions, or draft content without navigating away from your current view.

Main Content Area: The center-left displays dashboard widgets, metrics, and activity feeds. This is what we'll customize in later steps.

Paso 2

Understanding the Pipeline Summary Widget

Pipeline summary - deals organized by stage with color-coded health indicators

At the top of your dashboard, you'll see the Pipeline Summary—one of the most important widgets for sales professionals.

This widget displays a visual overview of your deals grouped by pipeline stage. You'll see columns representing each stage of your sales process (Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won, etc.) with deal cards stacked in each column.

Key metrics displayed:

  • Total Pipeline Value: Sum of all open opportunities (e.g., "$247,500 in pipeline")
  • Weighted Pipeline: Pipeline value adjusted by win probability per stage (more accurate forecast)
  • Deals by Stage: Count of opportunities in each pipeline phase
  • Average Deal Size: Mean value across all opportunities

Each deal card shows the opportunity name, value, associated company, and days in current stage. Cards are color-coded by health:

  • Green: Progressing normally, recent activity
  • Yellow: Stale - no activity for several days
  • Red: At risk - past expected close date or no engagement

Click any deal card to open the full opportunity record. You can also drag and drop cards between stage columns to update deal status - SalesSheet automatically logs the stage change and updates forecasts.

Filtering: Use the filter dropdown to view "My Deals," "Team Deals," "This Quarter," or custom date ranges. This lets you focus on different slices of your pipeline quickly.

Paso 3

Navigating the Activity Stream

Below the pipeline summary, you'll find the Activity Stream—a chronological feed of everything happening in your sales world.

The activity stream displays recent actions across all your contacts, deals, and tasks:

  • Emails sent and received: Preview snippets with expand option to read full messages
  • Meetings scheduled and completed: Calendar events with attendees and outcomes
  • Calls logged: Phone conversations with duration, notes, and call recordings if available
  • Deal stage changes: Opportunities moving through your pipeline
  • Notes added: Updates and observations logged by you or teammates
  • Tasks completed: Checked-off to-dos and follow-up reminders
  • Contact updates: New contacts added or existing records modified

Each activity item includes a timestamp, associated contact/company, and the team member who performed the action. Click any activity to see full details or jump to the related contact or deal record.

Smart Filters: Filter the stream to show only specific activity types (emails only, calls only, etc.) or activities related to specific people or companies. Use the date range selector to view historical activity or focus on today's actions.

The activity stream updates in real-time. When you send an email, log a call, or update a deal, it appears immediately in the feed. If Gmail is connected, incoming emails from customers automatically appear here too.

Paso 4

Using AI Suggestions and Next Actions

AI Suggestions panel - prioritized recommendations with one-click action buttons

One of SalesSheet's most powerful features is the AI Suggestions widget, usually positioned in the right column of your dashboard.

This widget analyzes your pipeline, activity patterns, and customer interactions to recommend specific actions that will move deals forward. Unlike generic task lists, these suggestions are context-aware and prioritized by impact.

Types of AI suggestions you'll see:

  • Follow-up Reminders: "It's been 5 days since you emailed John at Acme - send a follow-up" with a one-click draft button
  • Stale Deal Alerts: "The BigCo opportunity has been in Proposal stage for 18 days - schedule a check-in call"
  • Meeting Preparation: "You have a call with Sarah in 2 hours - review the last conversation and deal status"
  • Opportunity Insights: "The TechCorp deal is approaching the expected close date - time to send a closing email"
  • Relationship Gaps: "You haven't contacted anyone at Enterprise LLC in 3 weeks - reach out to maintain engagement"
  • Win Likelihood Predictions: "Based on activity patterns, the Startup Inc deal has a 73% win probability - prioritize this opportunity"

Each suggestion includes:

  • Priority level: High, Medium, or Low based on urgency and impact
  • Context: Why the AI is making this recommendation
  • Quick actions: One-click buttons to execute the suggestion (draft email, create task, schedule call)
  • Dismiss option: Hide suggestions that aren't relevant right now

Click on any suggestion to see full details or take the recommended action. The AI learns from your behavior - if you consistently dismiss certain types of suggestions, it shows them less frequently.

Pro move: Start your day by reviewing AI suggestions. Acting on the top 3-5 recommendations ensures you're working on high-impact activities rather than getting lost in busywork.

Paso 5

Customizing Your Dashboard Layout

Your dashboard should show the information most relevant to your role and priorities. SalesSheet lets you customize widget placement, size, and visibility.

Click the Customize Dashboard button in the top-right corner (it looks like a grid icon or "Edit Layout"). The dashboard enters edit mode, showing handles and controls on each widget.

Available widgets to add:

  • Revenue Chart: Visual graph of closed won deals over time
  • Win Rate: Percentage of opportunities you're closing successfully
  • Top Deals: Your highest-value opportunities requiring attention
  • Tasks & Calendar: Upcoming meetings and to-dos in one view
  • Team Leaderboard: Performance rankings if you manage a team
  • Email Performance: Open rates, reply rates, and engagement metrics
  • Recent Contacts: People you've interacted with recently
  • Monthly Target: Progress toward your quota or revenue goal

Click + Add Widget to see the full library of available widgets. Select any widget to add it to your dashboard.

Rearranging widgets: Drag any widget by its header bar to reposition it. SalesSheet uses a flexible grid system - widgets snap into place as you drag. You can place widgets side-by-side or stack them vertically based on your preference.

Resizing widgets: Drag the bottom-right corner of any widget to make it larger or smaller. Some widgets have minimum sizes to ensure data remains readable.

Removing widgets: Click the X icon in the top-right corner of any widget to remove it from your dashboard. You can always add it back later.

Widget settings: Click the gear icon on any widget to configure its specific settings - for example, changing the date range for the Revenue Chart or selecting which pipeline to display in Pipeline Summary.

Once you're happy with your layout, click Save Layout. Your customizations are saved per user - if you work on a team, each person can have their own personalized dashboard.

Dashboard templates: If you're not sure where to start, click "Load Template" to choose from pre-configured layouts optimized for different roles:

  • Sales Rep: Focuses on pipeline, tasks, and AI suggestions
  • Sales Manager: Emphasizes team performance, forecasts, and activity oversight
  • Business Owner: Shows revenue, growth trends, and high-level metrics

Pro Tip: Create Multiple Dashboard Views

Power users can save multiple dashboard configurations for different contexts. Create a "Daily Focus" dashboard with pipeline and AI suggestions for morning reviews, a "Weekly Planning" dashboard with forecasts and team performance for planning sessions, and a "Month-End" dashboard with revenue charts and win rates for reporting. Switch between saved dashboards using the dropdown menu next to the Customize button.

What a Well-Configured Dashboard Enables

Once you've customized your dashboard to fit your workflow, you'll benefit from:

  • At-a-glance pipeline visibility: Know exactly where your deals stand without digging through reports
  • Proactive deal management: AI alerts catch opportunities at risk before they're lost
  • Efficient daily planning: Start each day knowing your top priorities
  • Real-time activity tracking: Stay current on customer interactions and team actions
  • Performance awareness: Track metrics that matter to your role and goals
  • Reduced context switching: Access everything you need from one centralized view

Your dashboard becomes a living workspace that adapts to your business. As deals progress and activities occur, the widgets update in real-time, ensuring you always have current information.

Solución de Problemas

My dashboard is empty or showing "No data yet"

This is normal for brand-new accounts. The dashboard widgets populate as you add contacts, create deals, and log activities. Start by adding a few contacts and opportunities - once you have data in the system, the widgets will display insights and summaries. If you've imported contacts but still see empty widgets, try refreshing your browser or adjusting the date range filter on each widget to include your data period.

I don't see AI suggestions in my dashboard

AI suggestions appear once the system has enough data to analyze patterns and make recommendations. If you're new to SalesSheet, add several contacts and deals, then engage with them (send emails, update stages, log calls). After a day or two of activity, the AI will have sufficient context to generate suggestions. You can also manually add the AI Suggestions widget if it's missing - click Customize Dashboard and add it from the widget library.

The pipeline summary shows different numbers than my opportunities page

Check the filter settings on both views. The dashboard Pipeline Summary widget may be filtered to show only "My Deals" or "This Quarter," while your Opportunities page might show all deals or a different filter. Click the gear icon on the Pipeline Summary widget and verify the filter settings match what you expect. Also ensure you're comparing the same metric - total pipeline value vs. weighted pipeline value, for example.

Widgets are loading slowly or showing outdated data

Dashboard widgets typically update in real-time, but if you're seeing delays, try refreshing your browser. Check your internet connection - slow connectivity can delay widget updates. If specific widgets consistently show old data, click the refresh icon on that widget to force an update. For persistent issues, try logging out and back in, or clear your browser cache.

Can I reset my dashboard to the default layout?

Yes! Click Customize Dashboard, then select "Reset to Default Layout" from the options menu (usually a three-dot icon). This removes all customizations and restores the original SalesSheet dashboard layout. Your data isn't affected - only the widget arrangement changes. You can also load a template layout instead of the generic default if you prefer a role-specific starting point.
