Your team lives in Slack, but your CRM data lives in SalesSheet.ai. With the SalesSheet Slack bot, you don't have to choose - the AI brings your CRM directly into Slack. Query contacts, create new leads, update deals, and receive important notifications without ever leaving your Slack workspace.
This guide covers how to install the SalesSheet Slack app, interact with the AI bot, and configure notifications to keep your team in sync.
Before you begin
- You must have admin access to your Slack workspace to install apps
- Have your SalesSheet.ai account active and connected
- Ensure your team members have SalesSheet accounts for full functionality
Install the SalesSheet Slack App
To get started, install the SalesSheet.ai app in your Slack workspace:
- Va para Configuracoes > Integracoes in SalesSheet.ai
- Find the Slack integration and click "Connect to Slack"
- You'll be redirected to Slack to authorize the app
- Choose which channels the bot can access (we recommend starting with just a few)
- Click "Allow" to complete the installation
Once installed, the SalesSheet bot will appear in your Slack app directory. You can direct message the bot or mention it in any channel where it's been added.
For security, the bot only responds to users who have authenticated their SalesSheet.ai account. First-time users will be prompted to connect their account via a secure link.
Query Your CRM from Slack
Once the bot is installed, you can query your CRM data directly from Slack using natural language, just like in the main SalesSheet interface:
Direct message the bot or mention it in a channel:
@SalesSheet show me contacts at Acme Corp@SalesSheet what deals are closing this week?@SalesSheet find the email for Jennifer Davis@SalesSheet what's the status of the Microsoft deal?@SalesSheet show me my tasks for today
The bot responds with formatted data including contact details, deal summaries, task lists, and quick action buttons. Responses are visible only to you in channels (using Slack's ephemeral messages), so your team's CRM data stays private.
You can also ask follow-up questions: "What about next week?" or "Show me all contacts in healthcare."
Create Contatos from Slack
One of the most powerful features is creating CRM records without leaving Slack. This is especially useful when a new lead comes up in conversation:
Example commands:
@SalesSheet add contact: Sarah Chen, sarah@innovate.io, Director of Sales at Innovate Tech@SalesSheet create a deal for $50k with Acme Corp in the proposal stage@SalesSheet add a task to follow up with Jennifer by Friday
The bot confirms the creation and shows a summary of the new record. The contact, deal, or task is immediately available in your SalesSheet.ai dashboard.
Equipe members can also create shared contacts: if someone in your team creates a contact via Slack, everyone with appropriate permissions can see it in the CRM.
For faster contact creation, you can react to a Slack message with a specific emoji (configurable, default is :star:) and the bot will ask if you want to create a contact from the sender's information.
Receive CRM Notifications
Stay informed about important CRM activities without constantly checking the dashboard. The SalesSheet bot can send notifications to you or to team channels:
Personal notifications (DM from the bot):
- Tasks due soon or overdue
- New leads assigned to you
- Deals moving to new stages
- E-mail responses from important contacts
- Upcoming meetings on your calendar
Equipe channel notifications:
- New deals created above a certain value (e.g., $25k+)
- Deals won (celebrate the wins!)
- High-value contacts added to the CRM
- Weekly team performance summaries
Configure notifications in Settings > Integracoes > Slack > Notification Preferences. Choose what types of events trigger notifications and which Slack channels they should go to.
Use Slash Commands for Quick Actions
For even faster interactions, the SalesSheet bot supports Slack slash commands:
/salessheet search [query]- Quick search across contacts and deals/salessheet today- Show today's tasks and meetings/salessheet deals- Resumo of active deals/salessheet add [details]- Quickly add a contact or deal/salessheet help- Show available commands
Slash commands provide instant responses and are great for quick lookups during team discussions or client calls.
You can also set up custom shortcuts for your most common queries. For example, create /salessheet pipeline to always show your personal deal pipeline.
Dica Pro
Create a dedicated Slack channel like #crm-updates and route all high-priority CRM notifications there. This keeps everyone informed without cluttering your main channels. Set up a daily digest at 9am with a summary of the day's tasks, meetings, and deals needing attention. The whole team starts the day aligned without needing to log into the CRM individually.
O que Esperar
When using the SalesSheet Slack bot, you'll experience:
- Instant responses to queries (typically under 2 seconds)
- Data is always current and synced with your CRM in real-time
- Privacidade-preserving ephemeral messages in channels (only you see the response)
- Rich formatting with interactive buttons for quick actions
- Natural language understanding matching the main SalesSheet AI
- Notification delivery within seconds of CRM events
- Equipe collaboration features for shared contacts and deals
Solucao de Problemas
First, ensure you've mentioned the bot correctly: @SalesSheet (not just "SalesSheet"). Check that the bot has been added to the channel if you're messaging in a public channel. Verify your SalesSheet.ai account is connected by DMing the bot "/connect" to re-authenticate. If the bot still doesn't respond, check Settings > Integracoes in SalesSheet to ensure the Slack integration is still active.
Va para Configuracoes > Integracoes > Slack > Notification Preferences and verify that notifications are enabled for the events you care about. Check your Slack notification settings to ensure you haven't muted the SalesSheet bot. Also verify that your SalesSheet.ai account has the notification types enabled globally (Settings > Notifications). Sometimes notifications are disabled by default to avoid overwhelming new users.
By default, bot responses in channels use Slack's ephemeral messages, which are visible only to you. However, if you use the bot in a DM or small group, those messages are visible to everyone in that conversation. For sensitive queries, always DM the bot directly. Check your team's permission settings in SalesSheet.ai to ensure data visibility rules are configured correctly (Settings > Equipe > Permissions).
