Help Center Team Team Activity Feed

Team Activity Feed

The team activity feed gives you a real-time view of what your sales team is doing inside SalesSheet.ai. From new contacts added to deals moved through the pipeline, every important action is logged and displayed in a clean, chronological feed. Sales managers can use this to stay informed without interrupting reps, and team members can see how their colleagues are progressing on shared goals. This guide covers how to access the feed, filter activities, use the team leaderboard, and configure activity alerts.

Before You Start

  • At least two team members must be active in your workspace to see team activity
  • Activity tracking is enabled by default for all workspaces
  • The leaderboard feature requires the Pro plan or above
  • Activity alerts require notification permissions in your browser
Step 1

Access the Team Activity Feed

Dashboard with team activity widgets showing real-time actions from your sales team

From your SalesSheet.ai dashboard, click on Team Activity in the left sidebar navigation. The activity feed loads with the most recent actions at the top, showing a reverse-chronological list of everything happening in your workspace.

Each activity entry includes the team member's name and avatar, the type of action performed, the record it was performed on, and a timestamp. For example, you might see entries like "Sarah added a new contact: John Smith at Acme Corp" or "Mike moved deal 'Enterprise License' to Negotiation stage."

The feed updates in real time, so you do not need to refresh the page to see new entries. A subtle animation highlights new activity items as they appear at the top of the feed.

Step 2

Filter Activities by Member or Type

The activity feed can become busy in larger teams, so SalesSheet.ai provides powerful filtering options. At the top of the feed, you will find a filter bar with two main controls.

Filter by member: Click the Team Member dropdown to select one or more specific people. The feed will instantly update to show only activities from the selected members. This is useful when you want to review a particular rep's activity for a one-on-one meeting or performance check.

Filter by activity type: Use the Activity Type dropdown to narrow the feed to specific kinds of actions. Available types include: contacts added, contacts edited, deals created, deal stage changes, emails sent, emails opened, tasks completed, notes added, and calls logged. You can select multiple types to create a combined view.

You can also filter by date range using the calendar picker. Set a start and end date to review activity from a specific period, which is especially helpful for weekly or monthly retrospectives.

Step 3

View Activity Details

Click on any activity entry in the feed to expand it and see full details. The expanded view shows the complete record that was affected, including before and after states for edits and stage changes.

For deal stage changes, you will see which stage the deal moved from and to, along with the deal value and expected close date. For email activities, you can see the subject line, recipient, and whether the email was opened or replied to. For contact updates, the expanded view shows which fields were changed and their previous values.

From the expanded view, you can click through directly to the related contact, deal, or email record. This makes it easy to jump from the activity feed into the actual data when you want to review something in more detail.

Step 4

Use the Team Leaderboard

Team management panel showing member roster, roles, and activity leaderboard rankings

The team leaderboard is a motivational tool that ranks team members based on their activity and results. Access it by clicking the Leaderboard tab at the top of the Team Activity page.

The leaderboard tracks key metrics including: total activities logged, contacts added, deals created, deals won, total revenue closed, emails sent, and tasks completed. You can switch between different metrics using the tabs along the top of the leaderboard.

The default time period is the current month, but you can change this to weekly, quarterly, or a custom date range. Leaderboard rankings update in real time as team members complete actions throughout the day.

Managers can use the leaderboard to identify top performers, spot reps who might need coaching, and track team-wide progress toward goals. The data can be exported as a CSV for inclusion in reports or presentations.

Step 5

Set Up Activity Alerts

Activity alerts let you receive notifications when specific types of actions occur in your workspace. To configure alerts, click the bell icon in the top-right corner of the Team Activity page.

You can set up alerts for: deals won or lost, deals exceeding a certain value, new contacts added from a specific company, emails not responded to within a set time, and when a team member has had no activity for a specified period.

Each alert can be delivered as an in-app notification, a browser push notification, or an email digest. Choose the delivery method that works best for your workflow. In-app notifications appear as a badge on the bell icon, while email digests can be configured for daily or weekly delivery.

To create a new alert, click Add Alert, select the trigger event, configure any conditions or thresholds, choose the delivery method, and click Save. You can create as many alerts as you need and toggle them on or off at any time.

Pro Tip: Use Activity Feed in Team Meetings

Pull up the team activity feed during your weekly sales standup or pipeline review meeting. Filter by the past week to get a quick overview of what everyone accomplished. The leaderboard tab is also a great conversation starter for celebrating wins and identifying areas where the team can improve together.

What to Expect from the Activity Feed

The team activity feed captures a comprehensive range of actions performed by your team members:

  • Contact and company creation, edits, and deletions
  • Deal creation, stage changes, value updates, and closures
  • Emails sent, scheduled, opened, clicked, and replied to
  • Tasks created, assigned, completed, and overdue
  • Notes and call logs added to contact or deal records
  • AI assistant interactions that modify records

Activity data is retained for 90 days on the Starter plan and indefinitely on the Pro plan. Historical data beyond the retention period is archived but can be accessed through data export if needed.

Troubleshooting

The activity feed is empty

If you do not see any activity entries, check that your workspace has more than one active team member. The feed only shows activities from other team members by default. You can toggle the "Include my activity" switch at the top of the feed to include your own actions as well. Also verify that the date range filter is not set to a period with no activity.

I am not receiving activity alerts

First, check that your browser has notification permissions enabled for SalesSheet.ai. Go to your browser settings and ensure notifications are allowed for app.salessheets.ai. If you configured email alerts, check your spam folder for messages from SalesSheet.ai. Also verify that the specific alert is toggled on in the alerts configuration panel.

The leaderboard tab is not visible

The team leaderboard is available on the Pro plan and above. If you are on the Free or Starter plan, you will see the activity feed but not the leaderboard. Upgrade your plan in Settings > Billing to access this feature. Once upgraded, the Leaderboard tab will appear automatically.

Activity entries are delayed

The activity feed is designed to update in real time, but occasionally there may be a delay of a few seconds during periods of high activity. If entries seem significantly delayed (more than a minute), try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, contact support at andres@salessheets.ai.
